Yep. I had to do it. Had to take the 3 hour glucose test on Friday. I think the worst part of it is not being able to eat or drink anything from midnight until noon. (Anything except for the nasty glucose drink, of course). That's pretty tough for a pregnant lady who is used to snacking every few hours!
But my friend Thelma, from church, took me to the lab and hung out with me for the duration. What a trooper! She effectively distracted me so the time passed relatively quickly, and I didn't start feeling queasy or hungry until the very end. Praise the Lord! And God bless Mimi's huge breakfasts that revived me after the test. :)
Kaiser is super-fast and already emailed me my results. By my deductions it looks like I passed this test and do not have gestational diabetes! Yeah!!! I'm really excited because I wasn't really sure what I would eat if I had gestational diabetes. Everything I could think of had some amount of sugar.

Yay...I'm glad that your results turned out well! I also had to do the 3-hour test when pregnant with Molly. It is a bummer of a test, but my results also came out well. Then, there were no issues with Ellie.
I'm excited to see you in a couple of weeks. I'll email you about that!
I had to do the three hour the first time too. My second pregnancy I passed the first time...barely;)
